Here you can read the conclusions of the report made by seventh graders concerning water pollution by the smaller branch of the river Danube.

The students asked four local fishermen and a  garbage man about the changes which they faced near the river Danube in the last ten years.

All the fishermen had the same opinion.

1.The amount of the fish decreased in the river in the last ten years however the quality of the river water became better thanks to the closing of the nearest paper factory and the rarer opening of the flood gate.

2.The fishermen love this place but some of them more often go fishing to other places too just the older ones prefer fishing here.

3.The young people and the dog owners unfortunately often leave the litter near the riverbank and you can find different things in the water , like domestic things etc.

4.The biodiversity of the river is nice enough, you can find several kinds of waterplants and animals like ducks, swans, frogs …etc. can find a real habitat here.

5. The place is popular among the local citizens but there is no public toilet and the garbage bins and the benches are not enough for feeling more comfort.

The proposals:

The riverbed needs dredging.

The local fishing club should increase the amount of fish with  permanent settlings of fish.
